PLENARY INDULGENCE FOR THE YEAR OF FAITH

PLENARY INDULGENCE FOR THE YEAR OF FAITH

Vatican City,  (VIS) - According to a decree made public today and signed by Cardinal Manuel Monteiro de Castro and Bishop Krzysztof Nykiel, respectively penitentiary major and regent of the Apostolic Penitentiary, Benedict XVI will grant faithful Plenary Indulgence for the occasion of the Year of Faith. The indulgence will be valid from the opening of the Year on 11 October 2012 until its end on 24 November 2013.

"The day of the fiftieth anniversary of the solemn opening of Vatican Council II", the text reads, "the Supreme Pontiff Benedict XVI has decreed the beginning of a Year especially dedicated to the profession of the true faith and its correct interpretation, through the reading of - or better still the pious meditation upon - the Acts of the Council and the articles of the Catechism of the Catholic Church".
"Since the primary objective is to develop sanctity of life to the highest degree possible on this earth, and thus to attain the most sublime level of pureness of soul, immense benefit may be derived from the great gift of Indulgences which, by virtue of the power conferred upon her by Christ, the Church offers to everyone who, following the due norms, undertakes the special prescripts to obtain them".

"During the Year of Faith, which will last from 11 October 2012 to 24 November 2013, Plenary Indulgence for the temporal punishment of sins, imparted by the mercy of God and applicable also to the souls of deceased faithful, may be obtained by all faithful who, truly penitent, take Sacramental Confession and the Eucharist and pray in accordance with the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff.

"(A) Each time they attend at least three sermons during the Holy Missions, or at least three lessons on the Acts of the Council or the articles of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, in church or any other suitable location.

"(B) Each time they visit, in the course of a pilgrimage, a papal basilica, a Christian catacomb, a cathedral church or a holy site designated by the local ordinary for the Year of Faith (for example, minor basilicas and shrines dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Holy Apostles or patron saints), and there participate in a sacred celebration, or at least remain for a congruous period of time in prayer and pious meditation, concluding with the recitation of the Our Father, the Profession of Faith in any legitimate form, and invocations to the Blessed Virgin Mary and, depending on the circumstances, to the Holy Apostles and patron saints.

"(C) Each time that, on the days designated by the local ordinary for the Year of Faith, ... in any sacred place, they participate in a solemn celebration of the Eucharist or the Liturgy of the Hours, adding thereto the Profession of Faith in any legitimate form.

"(D) On any day they chose, during the Year of Faith, if they make a pious visit to the baptistery, or other place in which they received the Sacrament of Baptism, and there renew their baptismal promises in any legitimate form.

"Diocesan or eparchal bishops, and those who enjoy the same status in law, on the most appropriate day during that period or on the occasion of the main celebrations, ... may impart the papal blessing with the Plenary Indulgence".

The document concludes by recalling how faithful who, due to illness or other legitimate cause, are unable to leave their place of adobe, may still obtain Plenary Indulgence "if, united in spirit and thought with other faithful, and especially at the times when the words of the Supreme Pontiff and diocesan bishops are transmitted by television or radio, they recite ... the Our Father, the Profession of Faith in any legitimate form, and other prayers that concord with the objectives of the Year of Faith, offering up the suffering and discomfort of their lives".

27B Sunday Mk 10:2-16 On Matrimony

J – Jesus. Our first marriage is towards our Lord. He is the face of God. We cannot be at peace with others if we are not at peace with ourselves. In Jesus, our true image is restored. The single-heartedness is rational way of having integrity. To be a human is to gain freedom. True freedom is a single choice that is the best and not having all the choices. It is a good cure to a society torn by ambivalence, euphoria and emptiness. Our ego communed with Jesus is the divinization and restoration of ourselves to its splendid beauty! With Jesus, we just can’t stop smiling.
O – Others. First reading says, Alas here is a bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh. This means that the man is equal to woman. They have different roles but equal. Marriage is tried for many times but this dark night can be overcome. Single partner represents fidelity to true love for you the spouses I believe is God’s best instrument in bringing the true love. It is the proper stance to living a life of beatitude. A single heart towards heaven.
Y – You. It is the participation we have to give. It is the least of all. To be like little children is Jesus’ wish for his followers. We may have different positions in life but before God it is to be a child. Children are full of energy, re-discovering things… We may have failed so many times but we should thank God for the gift of faith. Mary is an example who becomes like a little child, the apostles and the saints. If we stay hungry and foolish in our faith then we will see how lovingly strong our faith is. Faith conquers and knows no boundaries.

We commend to our Lady of the most Holy Rosary all the couples especially those who are in great troubles.

There is so much Joy in the sacrament of Matrimony! O wonderful sacrament! You give joy because you give Jesus!

Classroom Prayers

Come, Holy Spirit
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love. V. Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created. R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth. V. Let us pray. R. O God, Who didst instruct the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant us in the same Spirit to be truly wise, and ever to rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer Before Study  by St. Thomas Aquinas
Lord, true source of light and  wisdom, give me a keen sense of understanding, a  retentive memory and the capacity to grasp things correctly. Grant me the grace to be accurate in my expositions and the skill to express myself with thoroughness and clarity. Be with me at the start of my work, guide its progress and bring it to completion. Grant this through Christ our Lord, amen.

Prayer for Students & Teachers
Lord God, your Spirit of wisdom fills the earth and teaches us your ways. Look upon us students. Let us enjoy our learning and take delight in new discoveries. Help us to persevere in our studies and give us the desire to learn things well. Look upon our teachers. Let them strive to share their knowledge with gentle patience and endeavor always to bring the truth to eager minds. Grant that they may follow Jesus Christ, the way, the truth, and the life, for ever and ever. Amen.

Prayer of  St. Therese
Omy God! I offer Thee all my actions of this day for the intentions and for the glory of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I desire to sanctify every beat of my heart, my every thought, my simplest works, by uniting them to Its infinite merits; and I wish to make reparation for my sins by casting them into the furnace of Its Merciful Love. O my God! I ask of Thee for myself and for those whom I hold dear, the grace to fulfill perfectly Thy Holy Will, to accept for love of Thee the joys and sorrows of this passing life, so that we may one day be united together in heaven for all Eternity. Amen.

The Word of God from the Book of Sirach (6:32-37)
I f you wish, you can be taught; if you apply yourself, you will be shrewd. If you are willing to listen, you will learn; if you give heed, you will be wise. Frequent the company of the elders; whoever is wise, stay close to him. Be eager to hear every godly discourse; let no wise saying escape you. If you see a man of prudence, seek him out; let your feet wear away his doorstep! Reflect on the precepts of the LORD, let his commandments be your constant meditation; Then he will enlighten your mind, and the wisdom you desire he will grant.

The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided.  Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word incarnate, despise not my petitions, but, in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.

Calendar

The best way to save your calendar in my own experience is google calendar. It can be synced to mutlitple platforms - windows, mac, ios devices, android devices, etc. You can even add calendar from pre-sets like national holidays. You can even share this to other people, post to websites, place reminders and categorize.

In this post post, my focus is on calendar printing for school and corporation would be very difficult if the following steps are unknown. On the contrary, if this is faithfully followed and practiced annually, creating calendar in all formatos (monthly, weekly, agenda) would be easy as a snap.

1. Create or open google account.
2. Categorize entries and finalize.
3. Publicize calendars.
4. Copy the ical link from the down arrow of each calendar.

Printing:
1. Save the ical for each calendar (down arrow then copy) and rename according to category. This is down by clicking the link from the calendar settings.
2. Import all the calendars in order to merge them all.
3. Merge calendars into another gmail account (wincalendar is limited to 3 icals) by importing into the same calendar.
4. Install the wincalendar with this link (don't install the new version 3 but only the version 2). Click this download link http://www.wincalendar.com/SetupWinCalendar_oldV2.exe
5. Run wincalendar "as administrator". Register with this key - PR566884152S589. Click the help and look for "register" Enter my name Dan Embuscado
6. Run microsoft word and then enable the content or macros of wincalendar.
7. Un the wincalendar setup the google calendar. Copy the whole link from #3 of this Printing instruction.
8. Choose the format from the wincalendar. That's it!

Tenth Commandment
Prayer

Is the act of Robin Hood justifiable? Stealing to help...

3 Moral Grounds of an act:
Stealing 1. Object - Act itself
To help the poor 2. Intention - Goal, or purpose, end
Abuse of riches 3. Circumstances - situation, disposition

"The end(intention) does not justify the means (object)."
There are actions that are always evil and can never be justified because the object chosen already of the goodness of the act. Killing, stealing, raping....

When you choose an act there are always choices. For eg. poverty: Court hearing, people's rally, killing, stealing, diplomacy, helping them directly.

Wedding:
1. Marriage
2. To be responsible for the baby.
3. Nilasing, sleeping or Gayuma/libido pills (shotgun wedding/ tatay pipilitin ka na pakasalan yung anak niya..

Circumstances like emotions, environments, etc. can either lessen or strengthen the fault.

Macbook Sudden ShutDown

Problem: intermittent and sudden shutdown
Cause: Overheat, fan not working

Diagnosis: You have to check if the fan is not working. If it is not working, the computer shuts down itself to avoid overheat. I thought buying a new fan is the solution. The fan is located between the board and the screen. A sound occurs when the fan is working. I called the Mac Service Center and gave me this solution. This suggestion really worked!

Solution
1. Power Reset Remove battery, press power for 10 seconds, put battery back
2. VRAM reset Option Cmd P+R

Macbooks white and black versions have battery problem. They bloat and becomes destroyed in just a year even if you follow the strictly battery are procedures. If you buy a battery, it costs Php7,500. If you're mobile and wishes to prolong your new battery, avoid using it that is remove it when using power. Put it back when you have to use it mobile.

"Give to Cesar what belongs to Cesar and to God what belongs to God." Mt 22:21

1. Give to Cesar what belongs to Cesar
As Christians, we are also Filipinos. We ought to be good Filipino citizens.

2. Give to God what belongs to God.
We are Filipinos but we are also accountable to God. The president of the nation has to be patriotic to his country but there is something greater: "He is accountable to God!" A mere possession of land can be the worst form of slavery. The bible directs us to something more important - the dignity, the spirit, the morality and common good of every individual. The nature itself even without speaking about God demands a law written from its logic.
